– The model combining the polygenic risk scores of metabolic syndrome can identify individuals at high risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
– The performance of this model was equivalent to or higher than that of well-known cardiovascular risk factors.
– The polygenic risk model provides independent benefits beyond the Framingham risk score, especially in younger individuals.
